MS Dhoni’s childhood friend, Paramjeet Singh, owns a sports supply store in Ranchi. The store is called “Prime Sports.” Paramjeet played a key role in securing Dhoni’s first sponsor.

Dhoni’s biopic, “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story,” highlights how Paramjeet significantly helped the former captain in his early days.

When Dhoni decided to retire from Test cricket, Suresh Raina was the first to know. Additionally, Dhoni learned about the birth of his daughter, Ziva, through Suresh Raina. Sakshi, Dhoni’s wife, was the first to inform Raina about Ziva’s birth.

Seemant Lohani, also known as Chittu, has been Dhoni’s friend since the age of four. In a conversation using Ranchi’s local dialect, he said, “What can I say about Mahi? He gave us so many laughs and won us numerous ICC trophies, more than any other captain. We couldn’t be prouder of him.”

When asked if Dhoni remains the same Mahi to his old friends after achieving immense success, Lohani remarked, “A person tends to forget their friends when they become celebrities. If you’ve met him, such a question shouldn’t even come to mind.”.

Santosh Lal was also a close friend of Dhoni. Nishant Dayal, a mutual friend, spoke to The Indian Express three years ago about their friendship, stating, “He and Dhoni were very good friends since childhood. They used to play with tennis balls and both worked in the Railways. Santosh was a fearless batsman.”

Dhoni may have perfected the “helicopter shot” over the years, but as he grew up, it was Santosh who excelled at it. Dhoni always admired his batting style, and it was Santosh who taught him how to play the shot.
