Actors Tiku Talsania and Manasi Parekh have found themselves in legal trouble after a promotional stunt for their upcoming Gujarati film Misri went wrong. A video of the two performing risky moves on a moving bike in Ahmedabad started circulating online and sparked criticism and eventually police action.

During the pre-release promotion of Misri, which is set to hit theatres today, October 31, the actors and other cast members like Prem Gadhvi and Jesal Jadeja reportedly decided to film a few dramatic moments on the city’s busy roads. What was meant to be a creative idea for publicity turned controversial when videos of the actors breaking traffic rules surfaced online.

What Went Wrong With Tiku Talsania and Manasi Parekh

One of the viral clips show Manasi recreating the famous Titanic pose while standing on the pillion seat of a moving bike. The rider, holding her hand, briefly lets go of the handle before regaining control just in time to cross a speed breaker.

Another video shows veteran actor Tiku standing up while riding his bike through traffic. According to reports, both acts were filmed on Ahmedabad’s crowded Science City Road.

Internet Calls Out Tiku Talsania and Manasi Parekh’s Risky Stunts

As the videos spread, people online criticised the actors for promoting reckless behaviour on roads.

One user commented, “Irresponsible citizens. Giving bad messages to citizens by doing this kind of stunt.”

Another added, “When ‘promotion’ becomes more dangerous than the actual stunt scene, it’s not creativity, it’s stupidity in 4K.”

“Very foolish way of promoting their film. Senior actors behaving in irresponsible manner is pathetic as young people imitate movie actors,” someone else remarked while a person wrote, “They should be answerable for this behaviour.”

Police Take Action

After the online backlash, the Ahmedabad Traffic Police issued an official statement on X (formerly Twitter) confirming that legal action had been initiated.

The post read, “In this case, on 30-10-2025, Crime Register No. 11191051250588/2025 has been registered at ‘A’ Division Traffic Police Station under BNS Section 281 and Motor Vehicles Act Sections 177 and 184 for recklessly and negligently driving vehicles at high speed on a public road in a manner endangering human life and performing stunts. Legal action has been initiated.”

According to reports, senior officials from the Ahmedabad Traffic Department confirmed that the film team had not obtained any prior permissions from the police or road authorities before carrying out the shoot. “Performing such stunts on public roads without prior approval is a serious violation. After taking their statements, both actors were arrested as per procedure,” an officer told Gujarat Samachar.

Tiku Talsania and Manasi Parekh Issue Apology

Following their arrest, the Ahmedabad Traffic Police released another video showing the actors expressing regret for their actions. In the clip, Tiku Talsania says, “If any inconvenience is caused to the people in reaching on time, we are apologising for it.”

According to a report by DeshGujarat, the police have confirmed that actors Tiku, Prem and Jesal will face legal action under the Motor Vehicles Act. The film’s producer, Sanjay Soni, has also given his statement to the authorities. But officials clarified that since Manasi was seen only as a pillion rider during the stunt, no action has been taken against her so far.
