Babar Azam overtook Rohit Sharma to become the highest run-getter in the shortest format of the game durg Pakistan’s nine-wicket win over South Africa in their second T20I at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Friday.

Before the match, Babar needed just nine runs and scored an unbeaten 11 to surpass Rohit Sharma’s record of 4,231 runs in men’s T20 internationals, after falling for a duck in the first T20 against the Proteas.
