YouTube Shorts is getting a handy update from Adobe for iPhone users who can shoot, edit and publish all through the same app

Adobe and YouTube have teamed up so that you can edit short videos on the former’s editing tools like Premiere Pro. The deal was announced at an Adobe event in California this week, which interestingly involves Apple’s iPhone app for the Adobe editing platform.
Most creators use iPhones to shoot videos and shorts, and Adobe is making the edit tool compatible with the iOS Premiere app so that you can easily tap and cut the short video without going through multiple apps and processes. Shorts videos have become popular with platforms like Reels and TikTok leading the charge.
YouTube Short Videos Edit On Adobe Premiere Pro: Know How
Adobe working with YouTube for Shorts feels like an admission of where the content viewing paradigm has moved in recent years. You have billions of views clocked by these platforms and Adobe wants to be a part of how the content is presented to the world. Having Premiere Pro on iOS gets a quick edit Shorts tab where you can simply import the recorded video, make the editing changes and publish it directly on YouTube.
The creators can make use of the Shorts editing section in the app where you will be given templates, transition styles, and effects for the short video.
The integration on YouTube will allow creators to see the ‘Edit in Adobe Premiere’ button and you will be taken to the iOS app for editing and customising the video before publishing it. Adobe has added some elements of AI into this setup which should make it easy for people to edit videos or add styles with the help of text prompts.
YouTube is doing more to help creators. The platform is giving them the support to battle this menace and make sure their content or face is not being used for these nefarious purposes. In fact, the platform has now released an AI tool that will help creators detect for any likeness in terms of their face or voice that is being edited into unauthorised content.
But the process that allows them to use the tool is rather rigid and has multiple loops through which YouTube has access to more of their data.
