Samsung unveiled its XR headset in the Galaxy lineup earlier this month but most people are eager to see its first tri-foldable device that has already had multiple delays. A recent report hinted that Samsung is close to bringing this unique device to the market but now it seems the company will be offering this new product in select regions only.

A new tip from a reliable source suggests Samsung could bypass the US and Indian market for its tri-fold model, and focus more towards the Eastern part of Asia.

Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold Launch Gets Closer: Where It Could Come

The Galaxy Tri-Fold model will be a lot like Huawei’s Mate XT version with an inward facing screen that does multiple folds. You get a 6-inch device in the regular form and fully unfolding offers you a tablet-like 10.2-inch screen that is good for multitasking with its set of accessories.

We have seen multiple updates regarding the launch, which was earlier expected along with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 series in July and then August.

The first tri-fold device is now reportedly going to be launched around October-end or early November, as mentioned in a report by ETNews. Evan Blass aka Evleaks claims the tri-fold device is very unlikely to launch beyond South Korea, China, Singapore, Taiwan and the UAE. He claims the US is not expected to get this device and it seems India will also miss the boat at least for now. Blass has a strong record with his leaks and tips so we can expect some level of accuracy to his claims.

The new tri-fold from Samsung should at least use last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, if not its own Exynos SoC. We do expect the device to have a triple camera setup similar to the Fold 7 series, which is the least the brand could do for a high-end device.

Samsung’s tri-fold device is still a mystery at least in terms of the features and hardware but a new leak has hinted at its possible launch price. The details from South Korea suggest the Samsung tri-fold price could be around $3,000 (Rs 2.56 lakh approx) which takes it into the Apple Vision Pro territory.
