iPad Pro M5 was introduced in the market recently but the 2027 Pro version could be as powerful as the MacBook Pros
The 2027 iPad Pro model with M6 could get even more powerful
Apple’s 2025 launches are done but the next year lineup already looks quite enticing. We’ve seen the M5-powered iPad Pro and MacBook Pro introduced earlier this month but the launch plans for 2027 are being set in place.
The M6 iPad Pro will be competing with the best in the business and it promises better gaming performance thanks to the new 2nm chipset along with vapour chamber cooling system on the new model. Adding this system suggests the M6 series chip will deliver higher processing power which invariably results in more heat.
More Power iPad Pro In 2027: Do We Need It?
The details about this upgrade have been shared by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg this week, where he also points out the gradual extension to other Apple devices. The company has managed the heat issues quite well over the year, and most of that is based on the high-level of engineering that goes into all its products.
Going with a chamber system for cooling on the M6 iPad Pro suggests Apple is estimating for some level heating as well as packing the device into a thin frame. The Pro version of iPads are already focused on professionals and deliver top performance with the M5 chipset giving the big numbers.
So does Apple really need the iPad Pros to get even more faster and powerful than the current versions? The company clearly wants to show off its lead in the chip sector where both the A and M-series SoCs have offered best figures for benchmarks in the industry. Now, imagine adding a cooling system like the iPhone 17 Pro on top of the performance gains from the M6 series, and you could have an almost Mac-like alternative from the same brand in the market.
And going by the report, Apple is likely to extend the system to its Mac lineup, starting with the MacBook Air versions to come in the next few years. The M6 launch is still at least one year away and before that Apple will bring the M5 Pro and M5 Ultra versions of the new chip that will be made available with the new MacBook Air, Pros and more.
