Samsung has been ramping up its health monitoring tools in the last few years and now it claims to have an industry-first tracker that will help users further. The Galaxy Watch 8 series will be the first generation of its smartwatch to get the new tool which has been built after a few years of R&D by the company.

The feature called antioxidant index is looking to narrow down the gap between the traditional equipment and these modern devices. This index has predominantly been kept behind the doors of labs and used for clinical purposes but for the first time regular users will be getting its access.

Samsung’s New Health Weapon: What It Offers?

The main use of this new health tool is to help users track their nutrition intake which can be helpful for many who are looking to customise their diet, eating schedules and more. Samsung has developed all kinds of sensors, built into the hardware but can be unlocked with an update, that will run the algorithm for all the data and give you a definite reading of where your health condition stands.

This is where the new Watch 8 benefits from the integration that links with all the other health data to allow people to define their diet based on their age conditions, overall health and more.

Samsung pits itself against Apple and its own wide array of wearable health tools that are connected to the Apple Watch ecosystem. The company started work on this tool back in 2018 where it decided to change the dynamics of health tracking and make these devices extremely resourceful. Most health experts vary of collecting data from such tools but Apple has shown over the years that basic alertness through these accessible devices counts for big help in some cases.

The company says the Watch 8 series will be getting the new feature but we are hoping that the previous versions like the Watch 7 or even the Watch 6 get them at some level as well.
