A Mind-Body Routine For The Modern Bride

In her video, Anshuka walks through a series of 10 yoga asanas that target flexibility, strength, and stress relief, which are all essentials for the hectic run-up to the wedding. Designed to fit easily into a daily routine, the sequence begins with gentle warm-ups and gradually builds intensity.

The Standing Side Stretch opens up the ribcage and improves posture, while Tree Pose (Vrikshasana) enhances focus and balance – both perfect for brides juggling multiple wedding decisions. The classic Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar) serves as a complete body energiser, boosting metabolism and mood.

To release tension, Butterfly Pose (Baddha Konasana) and Low Lunge Knee Taps work on the hips and legs, while Goddess Pose (Kaliasana) tones the lower body. For the core, Leg Raises with a Block and Forearm Plank strengthen stability and posture, which are key for carrying that bridal lehenga with confidence. The routine concludes with Bridge Pose and Cobra Pose, which rejuvenate the spine, glutes, and back muscles.
