After sealing the ongoing three-match ODI series with an unassailable 2-0 lead and with Ashes looming, Australia have made bulk changes to their white-ball squads for the remaining third ODI and the upcoming five T20Is against India. Batting superstar Glenn Maxwell is back after regaining full fitness from a fracture as is Ben Dwarshuis with the duo set to feature in the T20I series.

Maxwell will return from a fractured wrist for the last three games of the series while Dwarshuis has been brought in to return for games four and five. Josh Philippe has also been added to the T20 squad.

Uncapped pacer Mahli Beardman is a surprise call-up who will be part of the T20I squad from game three onwards as Josh Hazlewood will be released after the second match while Sean Abbott post-game three to prepare for the fourth round of Sheffield Shield.

Beardman was part of the Australian team that won the 2024 U-19 World Cup and he took 3/15 in the final.

Middle-order batter Marnus Labuschagne has been released from the ODI squad following Thursday’s second game in Adelaide to prepare for round three of the Sheffield Shield.

Jack Edwards and Matt Kuhnemann join the squad for the last ODI in Sydney on Saturday.
