Star India cricketer Rohit Sharma and ace batter Virat Kohli were seen celebrating Diwali with the rest of the team in Adelaide, as a bunch of cricketers arrived at a popular restaurant in the city for dinner, two days ahead of their second ODI against Australia.
Rohit and Kohli made their international return after almost six months in last week’s first ODI against Australia, but struggled, with the former scoring 8 off 14 and Kohli going for an eight-ball duck.
But on Diwali night, the team seemed in a good mood as they went out for dinner. Besides Kohli and Rohit, skipper Shubman Gill and his deputy Shreyas Iyer, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar were spotted.
According to 7News Adelaide, the team dropped down at the British Raj restaurant in Torrensville, which is popularly known for serving the best Indian food in the city. Watch the video here:

With ODIs now their sole international format, it is uncertain if Rohit and Kohli remain central to India’s long-term plans, with the next 50-over World Cup still two years away.
India had a forgettable start to the three-match ODI series, with several stoppages at Perth disrupting their batting rhythm and resulting in a seven-wicket defeat to Australia. The bowling unit also couldn’t impress, but to be fair to the likes of Mohammed Siraj and Axar Patel, the batters gave them just 136 to defend.
The challenges at Adelaide Oval will be just as tough, with Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood ready to test batters down the dreaded ‘corridor of uncertainty’ once again. With the Aussie summer just about beginning, there would be bounce and lateral movement on the nation’s fresh pitches, combining for conditions that can deflate the best in the business.
