Art collector and Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives star Shalini Passi reveals her health, diet, and lifestyle mantras from skipping cheat meals to embracing meditation over yoga.

Shalini Passi, the Delhi-based art collector, philanthropist, and style maven, first caught public attention through her appearance on Netflix’s Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. Known for her opulent lifestyle, offbeat beauty rituals, and distinctive fitness approach, Passi continues to intrigue fans with her candid insights into health and wellness.
Recently, in a chat with Pinkvilla, the 49-year-old opened up about her food habits and why she has stepped away from the kitchen despite being a skilled cook. “I don’t make time to cook anymore. The only thing I cook or bake now is my makeup,” she quipped. “When I was around 20 or 21, someone once told me, ‘Your mother didn’t teach you to cook,’ and I took it personally. So, I learned everything, Chinese, Thai, Indian, even Hyderabadi Biryani.”
Today, however, Passi prefers to let others handle the cooking. “Everyone’s on a diet now. My son needs balanced portions, and I eat what I need to,” she explained.
While she doesn’t cook, she certainly knows what she loves. A self-confessed kadhi-chawal and garlic enthusiast, Passi also swears by her favorite dish, cauliflower salad. She describes it as, “Not your typical healthy salad, it has nuts, black salt, capsicum, greens, avocado, olive oil, and green apple. It’s wholesome and delicious.”
Despite calling herself a foodie, Passi avoids cheat meals, desserts, and even beverages. “I work out a lot. I don’t feel the need for sweets, tea, coffee, or alcohol. I have a natural high, so I don’t need carbs or sugar to feel good. But if I really crave something, I’ll eat it,” she admitted.
Her wellness philosophy extends beyond diet and fitness too. Once a yoga enthusiast, Passi now focuses on mindfulness instead. “I stopped practicing yoga and switched to meditation and breathing exercises,” she revealed.
With her disciplined yet refreshing outlook, Shalini Passi proves that wellness isn’t about extremes, it’s about balance, intention, and joy in every choice.
