Raunak Tandon from Kanpur is an inspiring example of someone driven by passion over a comfortable salary. Despite earning a lucrative annual package, Raunak left his multinational company job to venture into business, a decision that led to a remarkable success story.

Raunak, residing in Aryanagar, Kanpur, began his career in 2011 at an automobile company in Chennai with an initial annual salary of Rs 9 lakh, which later rose to Rs 20 lakh. However, the lack of peace in his job led him to a sudden decision to quit in 2016.

His choice to leave a well-paying job surprised many, including his family and friends, who tried to dissuade him.

Which Business Did He Start?

Raunak had saved Rs 50 lakh by the time he quit his job. With this capital, he started dealing in heavy vehicles such as trucks, buses and dumpers. His wife Ishita, an MBA graduate, supported him significantly. Combining Ishita’s business plan and Raunak’s hard work, their venture showed positive results within a year, with their earnings steadily increasing.

Emerge As Uttar Pradesh’s Top Dealers

Through strategic business planning, Raunak and Ishita’s company became the largest dealership in Uttar Pradesh within 2.5 years. Raunak’s innovative contributions to the business field earned him three national awards. Today, their dealership spans Fatehpur, Farrukhabad, and Ghatampur, with plans to expand to other states.

Rs 100 Crore Turnover In Three Years

Raunak’s thorough research and experience in the automobile sector resulted in his company’s turnover reaching Rs 100 crore within just three years. Starting with an initial investment of Rs 50 lakh, the company’s growth has been exponential. Raunak reflects that while quitting his job was a challenging decision, his confidence in his business plan and sector experience proved invaluable.
