Stocks To Watch On October 17: Markets extended their winning streak on Thursday, with benchmark indices closing near the day’s highs. The Nifty 50 surged past the 25,600 mark, driven by optimism over a domestic earnings recovery and supportive global cues.
“With Nifty decisively crossing the 25,450 trendline hurdle, we now expect an advance toward 25,670 (June 2025 high), followed by 25,800 next. Traders should maintain a buy-on-dips strategy, focusing on sectoral rotation and strong stock-specific setups,” said Ajit Mishra, SVP – Research, Religare Broking.
Key Q2 Results to Watch
Several major companies will announce their Q2 FY26 results today, including Reliance Industries, JSW Steel, LTTS, Dixon Technologies, JSW Energy, Havells India, Hindustan Zinc, Polycab India, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, UCO Bank, and AU Small Finance Bank.
On October 18, HDFC Bank, UltraTech Cement, PNB, ICICI Bank, IDFC First Bank, IDBI Bank, IndusInd Bank, and J&K Bank are scheduled to release their earnings.

- Jio Financial Services: Profit up 0.9% YoY to Rs 695 crore; revenue surged 41.5% to Rs 981 crore; AUM jumped to Rs 14,712 crore.
- LTIMindtree: Profit up 10.4% to Rs 1,381 crore; revenue rose 10.2% to Rs 10,394 crore; announced an interim dividend of Rs 22 per share.
- Wipro: Q2 profit grew 1.2% YoY to Rs 3,246 crore; revenue increased 1.8% to Rs 22,697 crore; expects Q3 IT services revenue between $2,591–2,644 million.
- JSW Infrastructure: Profit declined 2.8% to Rs 361 crore, though revenue rose 26.4% YoY.
- JSW Energy: Subsidiary JSW Energy (Utkal) secured a 400 MW, 25-year power supply deal with Power Company of Karnataka, effective April 2026.
- Vikram Solar: Profit soared 1,646% YoY to Rs 128.5 crore; revenue nearly doubled to Rs 1,110 crore.
- Cyient: Profit dropped 28.8% YoY to Rs 127.5 crore; revenue fell 3.7% to Rs 1,781 crore.
- Metro Brands: Profit slipped 3.9% to Rs 69 crore, while revenue rose 11.2% YoY.
- CIE Automotive India: Profit up 9.6% to Rs 214 crore; revenue grew 11.1% to Rs 2,372 crore.
- BEML: Signed an MoU with Kineco to collaborate on advanced composite manufacturing for aerospace and defence.
- Punjab & Sind Bank: Profit rose 22.9% YoY to Rs 294.5 crore; gross NPA improved to 2.92%; board approved fundraise up to Rs 8,000 crore via bonds and equity.
- Rallis India: Profit up 4.1% YoY to Rs 102 crore, while revenue declined 7.2% to Rs 861 crore.
- Sunteck Realty: Profit jumped 41.4% YoY to Rs 49 crore; revenue rose 49.3% to Rs 252 crore.
- PNB Gilts: Reported a loss of Rs 45.3 crore versus a profit of Rs 114.7 crore a year earlier.
- Biocon: Subsidiary Biocon Biologics expanded its partnership with Civica Inc. to launch a private-label insulin Glargine in the U.S.
- Godrej Industries: Invested an additional Rs 409 crore in Godrej Capital, raising its stake to 91.11%.
