Is WhatsApp becoming another Instagram clone?

WhatsApp is slowly becoming more like other Meta products and the cross-integration is in full swing with more Instagram-like features making its way to the messaging app. Meta AI is a big part of these changes, even though the end-to-end encryption standard remains the same. And now we are seeing even more Instagram-like tools coming to WhatsApp, at least in the beta avatar for now.

We have seen stickers in chats and stories (or updates) but now these stickers are taking a new form in WhatsApp where you can ask questions.

More Instagram-Y Features For WhatsApp

The details about the feature on WhatsApp have come via WaBetaInfo this week, who says the Question Stickers is an easy way to add a question with an image or video when you share the status update. It is currently available to the beta testers but should be getting an official release soon.

The feature will work both ways, so people can actually respond to the questions via the same sticker through comments for that update. The responses can be viewed in a separate tab and you can manually decide which reply you want to be shared or deleted. The user is not alerted about such actions so keeping everything anonymous.

But WhatsApp is making sure that its privacy standards are not compromised with the beta feature and it assures that all the responses via the stickers are protected by end-to-end encryption.

Liquid Glass For WhatsApp

WhatsApp is the latest platform testing its own variations with the recent WhatsApp iOS beta version with select users, which should be rolling out for everyone once the bugs are fixed.

Apple has offered the iOS 26 SDK which makes it easy for apps like WhatsApp and Instagram to adopt the new design interface and seamlessly fit into the new iOS 26 version for iPhone users.

The details about the new iOS 26 update for WhatsApp comes via reliable platform WaBetaInfo this week, where the tipster also shares the first look of the new WhatsApp version that iPhone 17 and other users will be getting soon.
