Samsung’s phone launches for 2025 are done but the company has a few more tricks left in its purse and one of them is the XR headset powered by Android platform. The company has confirmed its new Galaxy Event for later this month where we will see the Project Moohan get an official name and its features detailed in front of the world.

It even has plans to unveil the product via a live stream which gives millions a chance to watch the product launch and see how it shapes up in comparison to its hype. There have been plenty of leaks for the Samsung XR headset but neither the name or the design is confirmed which will be done this month.

Samsung XR Headset Launch In October: What We Know

Samsung’s Project Moohan headset is rumoured to be called Galaxy XR; we could see that become official at the Galaxy Event on October 21, 2025. Samsung will be hosting the online event via its official YouTube page that you can watch at 7:30 AM IST on October 22, 2025.

Samsung Project Moohan Headset: New Vision Pro Challenger?

Like we said, the hardware features of the Samsung headset are not known but we do know that Google and Qualcomm will be having a big role in the structure of the device. You have the Android XR platform running on the headset which gets the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip that should be a lot more capable than the previous version.

The design of the Samsung headset is likely to have some traits of the Vision Pro which is not shocking but we are hoping that its price tag doesn’t make it a hard sell for the regular users. The headset is tipped to come with dual 4K micro-LED displays and four cameras packing inside for tracking , and other movements.

The device is expected to have a battery life of around 2 hours and likely to weigh around 545 grams which makes it lighter than the Vision Pro model. We are eager to see if Samsung gets the headset to markets like India, where both Apple and Meta have not launched.
