Nano Banana AI tool now works in Search for AI mode and Lens users

Gemini Nano Banana AI image tool has been a big hit in the last few weeks, with millions trying out new styles for personal portraits, their younger self hugging in a frame and women in a saree. Now, the popular AI image editor is headed to other Google features and some of them are AI Mode in Search and Google Lens. Google is making it available for users in India and the US from this week onwards. 

AI images have caught the imagination of millions, allowing them to restore old photos, or place them in a fun setting, like flying in space or artistic styles. Gemini Nano Banana is giving ChatGPT a tough run in the last few weeks and the new WhatsApp feature just makes it easier to use. 

The AI image feature has already moved beyond the Google-sphere. You can create a WhatsApp bot and use the Nano Banana AI model to generate images, courtesy Perplexity.

Nano Banana On AI Mode For Search Users: How It Works? 

Nano Banana image editing is easy and anybody can use it on their smartphone via the new AI mode on Google Search. 

• Open Search on your Android phone/ Google Search app on iPhone
• Head over to the Ask Anything tab
• Click on the + icon below it
• Tap on the banana icon to create images using the Nano Banana model
• Describe your image with a prompt to let the AI tool generate the visual
• Google will add the Gemini AI watermark to give it a different identity from a real image

How To Use Nano Banana In Google Lens 

Google Lens is also available in the Search app (with Google logo) for mobile users: 

• Click on the camera icon in the search tab
• You will switch to the camera mode with more features
• Enable the camera to see through the lens
• Click on the banana icon to create using Nano Banana
• Use your own prompt or select one from the pre-defined list
• Click on the Banana icon to generate the AI image

Earlier, we tried the Perplexity bot on WhatsApp to create AI images using Nano Banana and the AI model needs the prompt to clearly mention the use of the Gemini’s AI image tool to process the content. Perplexity has its own AI image model which it uses by default.
