Apple’s teaser confirms the new M5 MacBook version is coming soon

Apple is bringing a new product to the market this month and the company’s official teaser has more or less confirmed it will be a MacBook version. This is hardly surprising since multiple leaks have said that the M5 MacBook Pro will be announced at the October 2025 event, and hopefully we get to see the new iPad Pro powered by the M5 chip as well.

The hint has been shared by Apple’s marketing chief, Greg Joswiak where not only he shares some clues about the device but also gives us a glimpse of it, which is very unlike Apple. As you can see in this post on X, Joswiak is giving us clear ideas about the product that is coming soon.

You can see the use of the alphabet ‘m’ five times which tells you the processor being used, and the MacBook displayed in a silhouette, which is most likely the new MacBook Pro variant. The teaser doesn’t tell us anything else, but we do hope to see other products like the M5 iPad Pro and even the Vision Pro headset with the new chip getting a powerful upgrade.

It has also been mentioned that Apple could have these new products announced on separate days, something the brand did with the M4 lineup in October last year.

M5 MacBook Pro Launch: What You Can Expect

The M5 MacBook Pro will be the base version with a 14-inch display while the M5 Pro and M5 Ultra variants of the MacBooks could be launching early next year. The design changes are unlikely to have people excited and it is mostly going to be a hardware upgrade for improved performance. The OLED MacBook Pro is not expected before late 2026 or early 2027.

Going by the recent iPad Pro M5 leak by a Russian YouTuber, the M5 chip doesn’t get major performance gains but is definitely an improvement over the current M4 family. We’ll get more details about the new chip and the products using these gains in the next few hours or even days.

The October 2025 event could also have a few surprises, like the new Apple TV 4K version or even a new HomePod Mini (colour or design upgrade).
