YouTube is getting a design refresh for the TV, web and mobile version
YouTube users are getting a design upgrade that is visually going to make the app look different on mobile, web as well as the TV version. The redesign of the video player is part of the “expressive and intuitive” set of updates that are gradually rolling out to all users.
The platform is making these changes to offer a cleaner and more immersive viewing experience as YouTube now becomes the platform to watch videos, listen to music and even watch short videos. You might notice these updates in a subtle way but they will show the effects.
YouTube Updates Design For TVs And Mobile Users: How It Looks
The interface on YouTube for the TV version looks cleaner with all the important tools neatly laid out at the bottom of the video. You have the toggle button along with descriptions, like, dislike and settings button wrapped within a transparent layout to immerse with the video.
In comparison to this, the mobile YouTube app is getting a redesigned video player but the changes are minimal and only linked to more controls that you get on the platform. The YouTube Music app also sees some alterations with the now playing tab but pretty much visual changes in the shapes of the buttons and controls.
Comments are a big part of YouTube’s reach and the platform claims to have given it a more focused reading experience within the replies. These changes are not exactly an overhaul but something that looks to enhance the viewing experience.
YouTube was down for thousands of users globally on Wednesday evening, according to Downdetector. Most YouTube service outages were reported across the United States.
According to the tracker platform, disruptions affected all major cities, with Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Chicago, New York, Washington, and Detroit among the hardest hit. Some other countries who faced the issue include Australia, Canada and the UK.
