“We are planning to start evening tours from the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya to other popular sites like the Bharat Mandapam, War Memorial, the new Parliament complex, Dilli Haat, and others, for tourists. Through this, we plan to target foreigners and tourists who visit Delhi. We have hired the new nine-metre electric buses from the DTC,” a tourism department official said.
“Since the museum closes by 6 pm, we will start the tour from there, and then proceed to other destinations,” the official added.
The service is aimed at providing visitors with a comfortable and informative way to see the city in the evening. A guide will be present on board each bus to explain the history and importance of the locations along the route.

Tickets for the evening tour have been priced at ₹500 for adults and ₹300 for children between six and 12 years of age.
The initiative is part of the city’s broader plan to improve tourist experiences. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had earlier announced the development of a new tourist circuit including the War Memorial, Kartavya Path, the prime minister museum, and the new Parliament complex.
Officials also considered reviving the ‘hop-on, hop-off’ bus service, which was discontinued during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they believe the model may not be practical for Delhi. “Abroad, the Ho-Ho buses are available at regular intervals. But in Delhi, that won’t be possible considering the traffic situation,” the official added, according to PTI.

“There were plans for targeted tours, like visits to marketplaces, heritage monuments, etc, and allotting brightly coloured buses for that. But it was felt that, while people might visit heritage monuments, they won’t like visiting malls or markets on buses,” he added.
The new evening tour service, with its electric buses and focused routes, is expected to offer tourists a convenient and enjoyable ways to experience Delhi’s key attractions after dark.
