Vivo is finally bringing the OriginOS 6 version to the Indian market for its devices and this beta program is a start of the new experience

OriginOS 6 beta version will be available for select Vivo and iQOO phones
Vivo is bringing the new OriginOS 6 version to the Indian market for the first time this year, replacing the Funtouch OS skin in the region. And now the company has announced its OriginOS 6 preview program for select Vivo and iQOO devices in the country.
Many users have been asking the brand to bring the OriginOS skin outside of China and Vivo has finally agreed to their wishes, both for Vivo and iQOO phones in the market. The OriginOS 6 preview program is Vivo’s own version of the beta program for the new Android 16 version that will gradually come to more devices.
Vivo OriginOS 6 Preview Program In India: How To Register And Terms
The OriginOS 6 preview program has started from September 29, 2025 and the company is starting it with the Vivo X200 Pro and iQOO 13 smartphone users in the first phase. This news also suggests Vivo and iQOO will be offering the OriginOS 6 update for older devices, and hopefully the mid-range models as well.
If you have either of these phones, follow these steps to register for the OriginOS 6 preview version in India:
- Go to Settings – System Update
- Tap the three-dot menu from the top-right of the screen
- Select Version Trial – Closed Beta Sign-Up – View Details
- Complete the registration form
- The Vivo team will review and inform eligible users about the next steps
The OriginOS 6 preview program is a beta update so it is advised that users should not install the new update on their primary device to avoid any inconvenience. The company also recommends people to back up their data in case the preview version misbehaves with some apps or overall stability.
Vivo will have more details to share about the new OriginOS 6 for India, which the company says will offer “the smoothest Android experience with a refreshed interface, deeper customization, and enriched AI-driven features, for a delightful product experience.”
Vivo X300 series is launching in China next month and the India launch might not be too far away. We are eager to see how the new devices with the OriginOS 6 version deliver the flagship experience.
