Apple is expected to bring new products in October 2025 but it looks unlikely that we will see any new MacBook models announced.

Apple’s M5 MacBook Pro could have a new launch timeline
Apple’s M5-powered MacBook launch is on the cards but it seems the company might not bring the new Mac models to the market this year after all. A lot of people have been eagerly waiting to see if Apple announces the new M5 chipset along with new Macs in October this year but a new report suggests the company is far away from making that happen.
The details from Bloomberg says Apple is ready to start the mass production of the latest MacBook Pro models using the M5 processor. This timeline is different from what we expected in 2025 but it does sound like Apple is happy to wait for a little longer with the new Macs.
MacBook Pro M5 Not Launching In 2025, What Happens Now?
The report says Apple’s production plans for the M5 MacBook Pro suggests we could see the new device launching in early 2026, probably around March next year.
So what about the October launch plans that Apple has scheduled in the last few years? The report hints at Apple’s change in strategy, mostly to meet the demands of the new iPhone 17 models and have ample time to manufacture and market the new MacBooks. This won’t be a big change for Apple, which has previously introduced MacBooks in January 2023 with the new M-series chips.
Apple is likely to bring the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro model with M5, M5 Pro and the M5 Max processor variants. The design changes are unlikely to have people excited and it is mostly going to be a hardware upgrade for improved performance. We could also have the first budget MacBook version launching around the same time.
While the OLED version of MacBook Pro is not expected before late 2026 or early 2027. Going by all the new details, the M5 processor could still be announced this year but we could see it running on the new iPad Pro model along with some Apple smart home devices like the HomePod Mini, Apple TV or even the AirTag 2 version.
