OnePlus 15 is launching in the next few weeks and more details revealed.
The OnePlus 15 launch is confirmed and going by all the noise it seems the new flagship phone will be introduced in the next few weeks. The OnePlus 15 launch will also have people in India, not just because of the new device but also one of the first to get the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
The camera layout of the OnePlus 15 was teased in the wild earlier this month and now the company is going full throttle with the OnePlus 15 launch hype train as more details are coming through on the internet.
OnePlus 15 Launch Design Teaser
The OnePlus 15 design includes a new mid-frame made from aerospace-grade metal which is likely to make the device lighter but durable at the same time. In addition to this, the OnePlus 15 launch will see a new sand dune colourway from the brand as it looks to go beyond the regular black and grey colours. We do expect the OnePlus 15 to feature a flat frame that makes it comfortable for the grip and easier to hold.
The new OnePlus flagship will also sport a 165Hz display and you have the ColorOS (or OxygenOS) version based on Android 16 coming out of the box.
The squared camera module is not new for OnePlus, and we have seen it with the OnePlus 13s model recently. The company is likely to adopt the silicon carbon tech once again which should allow them to offer a 7,000mAh or higher battery unit with the device. It is rumoured to be using more durable build quality which could make it stronger than the iPhone 17 Pro Max model.
OnePlus has shown its evolution into a premium brand but its cameras have been an Achilles heel that needed a better solution. The OnePlus 15 could be part of that changing face for the brand and we could see it launch in China in the next few weeks. OnePlus is also expected to launch the model in India probably by early next year.
Before that, OnePlus has to fix a major security issue that is affecting OxygenOS 12 and later versions. The news was disclosed by Rapid7 who has informed OnePlus about a flaw that lets all the apps read you SMS messages. The company has admitted to the concerns and will roll out a new update with the fix by mid-October.
