iPhone 17 Pro orange colour is a big hit in India and sellers are finding it hard to get the right numbers and that means buyers a paying a premium.

iPhone 17 Pro orange is selling for as high as Rs 1,60,000 in India
New iPhone 17 Pros have launched and are available in the market. This usually means a lot of day one craze to buy the new models, people queuing up for hours to get hold of their units. But there are many who avoid falling for the hype and are ready to pay a premium to get their preferred model.
That’s where the seller makes merry and takes advantage of the people who don’t mind paying a lot more. We’ve seen this with PlayStations and even iPhones over the years and the same pattern repeats once again.
Buyers are searching for the new iPhone 17 Pros in a helter skelter manner, willing to pay as much as Rs 25,000 more than the actual iPhone 17 Pro launch price in India. The orange colour was likely to become a favourite and all the early signs suggest people are dying to get the new version and the Pro Max orange variant.
Orange Is The New Black And It’s Costly
Apple has surely given orange a new fillip with the new iPhone 17 Pro colour and made it as popular as a black coloured iPhone. Sellers are finding it hard to source the model, and when they do, they have no shame in charging beyond the market price which is not ethical but nothing about the demand for the iPhone 17 Pro orange colour seems usual.
This is not our first ‘iPhone in the black market’ rodeo and there seems to be no end to the early craze no matter how much Apple prices the new models.
Yes, the regular iPhone 17 is a very good upgrade and probably one of the best in years but everyone wants the Pro, and the 17 Pro going out of stock just a few days after the pre-booking tells you the challenge faced by Apple as well. The black market demand for iPhone goes over the top in the first few weeks as the company looks to stabilise the shipment and adhere to the demand in the market.
Pay More Or Wait?
Multiple sellers and retailers we spoke to were hesitant to confirm whether they have an iPhone 17 Pro orange colour available in stock. But most of them relent to the desperation of the buyer, and test the waters by quoting them well over Rs 1,60,000 for the base iPhone 17 Pro model. And that’s where we suggest the iPhones are not going to stop selling. The orange iPhone 17 Pro will be back in stock in the next few weeks.
Waiting for these units does seem the sensible option, unless you really need to flaunt the latest iPhone 17 Pro orange colour before your friends, and just for that, people find the extra premium worth their efforts.
