OnePlus, Xiaomi and more popular brands have confirmed their plans to use the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset for their next flagship phones. Apple launches the new iPhone 17 series and the rest of the industry follows up, throwing the gauntlet to the Cupertino-based giant and offering devices that can be an equal to the premium iPhones, which is the 17 Pro series this year.

The new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC is promising faster performance, better AI support and other upgrades over the standard 8 Elite model from 2024. But what can people expect from phone makers in 2025-2026 with the new hardware under the hood? Here are some of the phones that brands will be launching with the new chipset.

There is no date as of now but the coming soon suggests the GT 8 Pro will be unveiled in the next few months as well. Realme GT 7 Pro also was one of the first in the country and the brand is looking to repeat the feat in 2025.

Poco F7 Ultra

Xiaomi 17 Series
