Xiaomi has finally given us the details about HyperOS 3 version, its features and which devices will be updated this year.
HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 is finally here
Xiaomi has announced the new Android 16-based HyperOS 3 version on Wednesday in China at a big launch event. This is the latest version in the market and Xiaomi has finally shared official details about the Android 16 update that many phone users are eagerly waiting to get from the brand. We’ve already seen Google, Samsung and even Nothing share their Android 16 roll out plans, while some of them are already running on the new version.
HyperOS 3 Version Is Here, What Does It Offer?
Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 3 version is trying its best to bring Apple-like features to the Android devices. One of them is called HyperIsland which seems inspired by the Dynamic Island notch we get on the iPhones these days. You will get live activities on the notched layer, along with details about the charging speed of your phone.
The other big change or addition will be AI-centric tools with Hyper AI. You get AI writing tools to help you change the writing style or even tones. It also will have AI-based speech recognition that will record, transcribe in real-time and give summaries as well.
More AI-centric features will be available in the photo gallery where you can enhance the search looking for food and other categories. There’s also dynamic wallpapers and lockscreen on offer with the HyperOS 3 version.
HyperOS 3 Update: Eligible Phones And When They Get It
Xiaomi is bringing the HyperOS 3 update from October to its devices. The new models like Xiaomi 15T series, Watch S4 and Smart Band 10 will be offered the Android 16 version out of the box. In addition to these, HyperOS 3 is coming to these devices in October and November:
- Xiaomi 15 series
- Xiaomi Mix Flip
- Redmi Note 14 series
- Poco F7 series
- Poco X7 series
All these Xiaomi and Poco phones will get the HyperOS 3 version via an over-the-air (OTA) update. But the company has more devices lined up for the Android 16 update before the end of 2025 and until March 2026, there are:
- Xiaomi 13 series
- Redmi Pad Pro 5G
- Redmi Note 14
Xiaomi has been slow with its Android updates and patches for many years, hopefully, the brand can get better with the pace of the rollout and give the latest HyperOS version for all the eligible devices.
