Priya Sachdev accused of forging Sunjay Kapur’s will.

Priya Sachdev Kapur, wife of late industrialist Sunjay Kapur, has moved the Delhi High Court seeking signing of non disclosure agreement before disclosing her husband’s assets. The HC will hear the plea on Thursday.

In its order dated September 10, the High Court had directed Priya to furnish a comprehensive list of all movable and immovable properties belonging to Sunjay Kapur as on June 12, the day he passed away.

Sunjay Kapur Family Dispute

The estate case remains a high-stakes battle, involving claims over assets estimated at ₹30,000 crore. Sunjay Kapur, who died suddenly, left behind children from his previous marriage to actress Karisma Kapoor, as well as his widow, Priya Kapur.

Sunjay and Karisma married in 2003 and have two children, Samaira and Kiaan. The couple separated in 2014 and finalised their divorce in 2016.

His children have challenged the validity of a will presented by Priya Kapur, calling it “forged and fabricated” and alleging that it unfairly excludes them. They argue that their father had promised to secure their financial future and named them as beneficiaries in his family trust.

Priya Kapur, however, defended the will as genuine as she told the court that the children had already received ₹1,900 crore from the family trust shortly before filing their suit. Sunjay Kapur’s mother, Rani Kapur, has also joined the proceedings, claiming she has been left with nothing and accusing Priya Kapur of selling off her late son’s assets.

Row Over Sunjay Kapur’s Death

Kapur, 52, was reportedly playing polo in England this June when he collapsed unexpectedly. Initial accounts suggested a dramatic turn of events, with early reports claiming he had suffered a fatal bee sting or an allergic reaction during the match. Some even speculated that he might have swallowed a bee, though these claims were never verified.

Weeks later, the Surrey Coroner’s office released a report clarifying the cause of death. Kapur had suffered a sudden heart attack. Contributing factors included left ventricular hypertrophy, a thickening of the heart’s left ventricle, and ischemic heart disease. The coroner confirmed there was no evidence of a bee sting or allergic reaction.
