As Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates extended warm wishes to PM Modi on his 75th birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday responded with gratitude, emphasising the importance of working together to build a sustainable future for the coming generations.
“Thank you for your kind greetings @BillGates. India looks forward to working together to build a sustainable and promising future for the coming generations,” PM Modi said in a post on X.
In his message on Wednesday, Gates wished PM Modi good health and continued strength, lauding India’s “remarkable progress” under his leadership. He also reaffirmed the Gates Foundation’s commitment to its partnership with India, highlighting joint efforts in advancing the vision of Viksit Bharat and driving innovations that benefit the Global South.
In his message, Gates said, “Prime Minister Modi, my best wishes to you on your 75th birthday. I wish you good health and continued strength as you lead India’s fantastic progress and contribute to global development.”
Gates also highlighted the close association between his foundation and India. “The Gates Foundation values our partnership with the Government of India immensely. Together, we are supporting progress towards Viksit Bharat and sharing lessons and innovations for the countries in the Global South,” he said.
Reiterating his warm wishes, Gates added, “Once again, my warmest wishes to you on this milestone occasion.”
His greetings came as other leaders and dignitaries also extended their wishes.
