Junaid Siddique is leading the UAE’s bowling attack in the Asia Cup 2025, and on Wednesday, September 17, during his team’s third Group A match of the ongoing premier continental event, he picked up four wickets for 18 runs in four overs against Pakistan. In the match taking place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Junaid opened his wicket account by dismissing Saim Ayub for a two-ball duck on the fourth ball of the match and then removed his opening partner Sahibzada Farhan for 5 runs from 12 balls on the fourth ball of the third over.
Junaid picked up his third wicket in the form of Mohammad Nawaz. Nawaz could only manage to score 4 runs before losing his wicket on the fifth ball of the 17th over.
And then on the fifth ball of the 19th over of Pakistan’s innings, Junaid bowled Mohammad Haris (18 runs from 14 balls) to complete his four-fer.
The figures of 4/18 in four overs helped Junaid break Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s record and register the best bowling figures in Asia Cup T20Is against Pakistan.

The bowling figures of 4/18 in four overs helped Junaid register the best bowling figures in Asia Cup T20Is for the UAE. He improved his record of 4/23 in four overs. The back-to-back four-wicket hauls in the 2025 Asia Cup helped Junaid become only the second bowler in the history of the Asia Cup T20Is to take two four-fers. Before him, only Bhuvneshwar has achieved this feat.
