iOS 26 update comes with the Liquid Glass interface across apps and screen but if you don’t like it, just disable it.

iOS 26 update has an easy way to disable the new glass effect
iOS 26 release brings a wide range of features but iPhone users will mostly realise the true impact of the new Liquid Glass interface when they install the iOS 26 update on their devices. The transparent nature of the UI has made people believe that Apple is close to making an all-glass device in the near future and this iOS 26 iteration looks to align with those plans.
The iOS 26 beta update showed us mixed views about the new design changes, including the new Liquid Glass UI that has made its way to the final version albeit in a refined way. But in case you still don’t like the new look of the iOS version, Apple is making it easy to disable the Glass design and go for something more opaque.
How To Disable iOS 26 Liquid Glass Design On Your iPhone
- Open Settings in your iPhone
- Tap on Accessibility
- Scroll down to Display & Text Size
- Enable the toggle for Reduce Transparency
- You can even Enable Increase Contrast for better readability
Now the iOS 26 Liquid Glass effect will be reduced. Apple is also giving you more options in Accessibility if the new design changes don’t catch your interest.
The big focus is on Apple Intelligence features that will be available over 2026, including the big Siri AI reboot. And that’s where the company is limiting its support. Apple AI features are limited to some of the recent iPhone models as well as the iPad and Mac devices.
You need the iPhone 15 Pro or later models, and any M-series MacBook or iPad to run the AI features.
The new iOS 26 update is coming to iPhone 11 and later models which shows Apple’s continued focus on upgrading the older models, even those launching as old as 2019. Yes, the new version will not give the best results and performance on these older models, but people have some more time before they can think of upgrading and that helps them make sure it is an iPhone.
