Former Pakistan captain Yousuf Mohammed (formerly, Yousuf Yohana) abused Suryakumar Yadav on live TV in the aftermath of the team’s seven-wicket loss to India in the 2025 Asia Cup in Dubai on Sunday.
Yousuf deliberately distorted Suryakumar’s name, calling him a pig repeatedly. One anchor tried to remind him of the Indian skipper’s actual name, perhaps thinking he had mistakenly mispronounced it, but Yousuf ignored and kept using the abusive language. Seeing that, another anchor put up a wry smile.
Yousuf then went on to accuse India of buying out the on-field umpires and using the match referee to ‘torture’ the Pakistan side.
“These guys are not able to get out of the film world,” Yousuf said on Samaa TV. “Ye Suar Kumar jo hai… Suar Kumar Yadav. India should be ashamed of the way they are trying to win. Getting the umpires in cahoots with them, using the referee to torture (Pakistan). They have probably given the umpire’s finger to (Indian Prime Minister, Narendra) Modi; it just wouldn’t get up whenever we appealed.”
A low level rhetoric from Yousuf Yohana (converted) on a national TV program. He called India captain Suryakumar Yadav as “Suar” (pig).
