Visakhapatnam, already famous for its beaches, Kailasagiri, Thotlakonda, and the submarine museum, is all set to unveil a jaw-dropping new attraction — the Sky Bridge on Kailasagiri Hill. Imagine standing on glass, with lush green hills on one side and the endless blue sea on the other. A once-in-a-lifetime thrill awaits tourists here.

What makes this bridge unique is its design. Built using the cantilever technique, it stretches nearly 100 feet from Kailasagiri hill, extending dramatically towards the sea. Walking on its glass floor, with waves crashing below and the sunset glowing ahead, feels like stepping into a postcard from abroad..

To withstand salty sea air, special imported steel was used for construction, while custom glass and cables came from Bengaluru. The bridge can hold up to 40 tourists at a time, offering a thrilling bird’s-eye view of the sea, sky, and city. Officials promise — walking here is an adrenaline rush unlike anything else.

Tourism officials believe this project will be a game-changer. Once inaugurated, the Kailasagiri Sky Bridge could draw travellers not just from across India, but also abroad. VMRDA’s leadership says their aim is to place Visakhapatnam firmly on the international tourism stage.

For years, Indians admired glass bridges abroad through videos and photos. Now, that experience is right here at home. With the Sky Bridge, Visakhapatnam adds another jewel to its crown of natural and man-made wonders. For tourists, this is set to become a must-do experience on any Vizag trip.
