Credit cards can offer a range of benefits for international travellers, including airport lounge access, travel insurance, and rewards on foreign transactions. Mastercard has identified five credit cards in India that provide these features for 2025.

The RBL World Safari Credit Card offers zero foreign currency markup and airport lounge access, including two domestic visits per quarter and three international visits annually. The card includes travel insurance covering lost baggage, flight delays, and overseas medical emergencies, as well as a 24×7 concierge service for assistance with reservations and itineraries. Cardholders also receive a ₹3,000 MakeMyTrip voucher on activation and milestone rewards on annual spending.

The HDFC INFINIA Credit Card (Metal Edition) carries a 2% foreign exchange markup and provides Priority Pass lounge access worldwide for both primary and secondary cardholders. It also includes reward points on SmartBuy travel bookings, 24×7 concierge service, premium global assistance, and zero liability on lost cards.

The IDFC FIRST Bank Mayura Metal Credit Card offers zero foreign currency markup and up to eight complimentary lounge or spa visits per quarter, covering both domestic and international locations, along with railway lounge access. The card provides travel insurance and trip cancellation coverage up to ₹50,000, reward points redeemable for travel, dining, and lifestyle expenses, and additional benefits including fuel surcharge waiver and roadside assistance.

The Axis Horizon Credit Card allows cardholders to earn EDGE Miles on both travel and everyday spending, redeemable at 1:1 value for flights, hotels, and other travel services. It includes airport lounge access with up to 32 domestic visits and 8 international visits annually, a welcome gift and renewal miles, dining discounts, 1% fuel surcharge waiver, and lost card liability coverage up to ₹10 lakh.

The Kotak IndiGo 6E Rewards Credit Card offers a welcome IndiGo flight ticket and 6E Prime benefits. Cardholders earn rewards on IndiGo bookings, dining, groceries, entertainment, and other spending categories. The card also provides eight domestic lounge visits annually, lower convenience fees on flight bookings, faster check-in and boarding, and milestone bonuses.
