iPhone Air is a sleek and lightweight device which opts for a small-ish battery and a single camera unit at the back.

Apple’s new MagSafe is aimed at the Air model only
Apple’s new money-making scheme is out in the open and it involves the new iPhone Air version. This sleek iPhone model is extremely light which has forced the company to ditch the regular SIM slot altogether and just about retained the USB C port.
But the sleek design comes at the cost of a smaller battery which is claimed to deliver all-day battery life which we are not sure it can support. So, Apple has decided to bring a new accessory priced well over Rs 10,000 so that the sleek iPhone Air can get long support. And you know the best part, it only works with the new model.
iPhone Air Battery Pack: Why So Sleek
Making a sleek phone comes at a heavy price, and going by the results of another sleek device with a slim battery, we can’t be sure of how the iPhone Air performs. And to be fair, Apple is indirectly making that point clear with the launch of the MagSafe battery pack which can only work on the Air model.
Yes, the new iPhone 17 series does not support this pack which is designed in such a way that you can only attach it behind the iPhone Air. The details have been clearly mentioned on the product page, where the compatibility only has iPhone Air. Having a battery pack as an accessory is smart, and gives buyers the choice to invest in one, especially if they plan to pick up the Air model.
But here’s the thing, if you use the pack, the size of the iPhone Air is neither light nor sleek. It becomes a brick like any other iPhone out there, including the new iPhone 17 Pros.
The new battery accessory reminds us of the Apple cleaning cloth, and priced at Rs 11,900, the Air MagSafe unit feels like a luxury that many might add to the cart, just to avoid battery anxiety.
