iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are the first to give way for the new iPhone 17 Pro models after Apple’s big unveiling on Tuesday. The brand usually keeps only one flagship version on its lineup, so the 16 Pro series is being discontinued as per Apple but you can still buy them through other platforms.

Apple seems to have ended the Plus experiment, just like the Mini variant from previous years. The new Air version is pricier than the outgoing model which only carries a bigger display and battery over the regular 16 version.

The next two models to go away from Apple’s lineup are the 2023 base iPhone 15 and 15 Plus versions. From now on, the most affordable version will be the iPhone 16e followed by last year’s iPhone 16 model. Again, just because it is not listed does not mean you cannot buy the iPhone 15 or 15 Plus anymore but the stocks will be limited.

And just like the iPhones Apple has replaced the Watch Series 10 that came out in 2024 with the latest Series 11 model which gets a sleeker design and more screen estate.

Similarly, the Watch Ultra 3 allows Apple to phase out the Watch Ultra 2 version that was announced two years back. We only got a new colour variant of the Ultra 2 with the iPhone 16 series last year.

Finally, you have the new Watch SE 3 version, Apple’s most-affordable in the wearable segment now taking the place of the Watch SE model that has been available through its official channels over the last 12 months. The Watch SE 3 is priced around Rs 24,500 in the market like its predecessor.
