This issue has been discussed widely in the build up to the iPhone 17 launch event, with most analysts expecting a nominal price hike from Apple.
The company does manage to keep the iPhone 17 price simple in the US but for those buying in India, the iPhone 17 series is once again costlier than most countries.

iPhone 17 Series Price In India: How Much Extra You Pay?
The iPhone 17 price in India starts at Rs 82,900 for the base 256GB model which is Rs 3,000 hike on the base 128GB iPhone 16 model. Having said that, the 128GB extra storage on tap makes up for the increase and gives you better value for the upgrades.
Talking about the iPhone 17 Pro, it now costs you Rs 1,34,900 which is 15,000 more than what you paid for the iPhone 16 Pro version last year. This hike is applicable across all the iPhone 17 Pro variants.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,49,900 which is a nominal Rs 5,000 increase on its predecessor at launch. You do get a 2TB variant this year which costs Rs 2,29,900 in the market.
iPhone Air Price Effect
iPhone Air is replacing the Plus variant this year in the lineup but Apple’s focus is different. So, instead of paying Rs 89,900 for the iPhone Air, you will shell out Rs 30,000 more to buy the base Air variant.
