OnePlus is ending its deal with Hasselblad which means the next flagship phone will not have any branding and will use its own camera tech

No more Hasselblad branding on the OnePlus phone
OnePlus and Hasselblad are parting ways, which means the next flagship from the brand will not have the iconic brand name. OnePlus is working under the wing of Oppo these days but its identity is still pretty much of an independent brand which will get further impetus with the focus on its own imaging technology.
OnePlus has shown its evolution into a premium brand but its cameras have been an achilles heel that needed a better solution. And the company is now going to work on its own imaging tech called the OnePlus DetailMax Engine.
The OnePlus 15 could become the first device to be powered by this new engine for the cameras, which Pete Lau, CEO, OnePlus, claims is still early and there’s plenty of tuning ahead but the initial results are already promising.”
The OnePlus 13 successor could feature a fresh design, which feels overdue by now, and some intriguing plans in place for its imaging tech on the flagship devices, which has now been confirmed by Lau, and also acknowledged the partnership with Hasselblad with this post:
To Hasselblad: thank you for your craft, your trust, and for showing us the heights passion and precision can reach.
This partnership has delivered on every promise and objective we set and as we wrap up this chapter, our respect for your craft remains as strong as ever. Looking ahead, we’re open and excited to new opportunities, whether in imaging or reimagining what’s possible for mobile photography.
OnePlus 15 (yes, no 14) launch is expected later this year and early signs about the device suggest the company could make some major changes with its next flagship. Even the whole frame looks to be flatter and more like the OnePlus 9 or 10 series rather than OnePlus 12 or even 13 models. OnePlus 15 should be using the new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC that will be official later this month.
The company is likely to adopt the silicon carbon tech once again which should allow them to offer a 7,000mAh or higher battery unit with the device.
