Apple’s iPhone 17 launch event could be a big affair once again, and that means we will be seeing more products unveiled. AirPods Pro 3 has been in the news over the last few months and it does feel like the company will bring its new version this week. We have been expecting the big AirPods Pro upgrade for a while, and hopefully Apple brings the new version with the iPhone 17 series coming this week.
One of the known Apple analysts, Ming-Chi Kuo has vouched for its announcement and here’s a look at the new AirPods Pro, how Apple might price it and what features you could get.
AirPods Pro 3 Launch This Week: What To Expect
The last AirPods Pro was introduced in 2022, and we only saw the USB C version of the same model launched a year later. AirPods Pro 3 should be the big upgrade that people have been waiting for and Apple is likely to unveil it this year itself.
The AirPods Pro 3 model will support heart rate monitoring through the buds and the feature could be borrowed from one of Apple’s existing products. The Powerbeats Pro 2 also comes equipped with the heart rate monitoring tool, and the company says there are LED optical sensors in buds that help with calculating the heart rate and blood flow as well.
In addition to the health upgrades, the report says the AirPods Pro 3 is tipped to get a new design, which is long overdue. The AirPods Pro 3 should offer better ANC performance and battery life thanks to the new H2 chip used by Apple for its audio range.
And if you are expecting the next AirPods Pro to feature cameras for health tracking, that seems to be lined up for the major AirPods upgrade but in 2026. Yes, the next major AirPods overhaul will have a shorter gap of just one year, where the product will tip new scales.
Coming back to the AirPods Pro 3, all these improvements could also mean the AirPods Pro 3 launch price is slightly higher than the previous versions, which falls in line with Apple’s expected strategy for the iPhone 17 series this year.
