Ravichandran Smaran and Andre Siddarth join South Zone for the Duleep Trophy final against Central Zone as N Jagadeesan and Devdutt Padikkal move to the India A squad.

Promising batters Ravichandran Smaran from Karnataka and Andre Siddarth from Tamil Nadu were added to the South Zone squad for the Duleep Trophy final on Sunday.
South Zone will compete against Central Zone in the five-day title match at the BCCI Centre of Excellence grounds starting September 11.
The 22-year-old Smaran and the 19-year-old Siddarth were on the standby list during the semifinal phase, and now with their promotion to the main squad, Aniket Reddy from Hyderabad and Ajay Rohera from Pondicherry have been added as standbys.
Smaran and Siddarth were promoted to the main squad after N Jagadeesan and Devdutt Padikkal were selected for the India A squad for the two unofficial Tests against Australia in Lucknow.
Jagadeesan had scored 197 for South in the first innings against North Zone in the semifinals, contributing to a total of 536 runs.
This score was sufficient for South to gain a first innings lead, securing their place in the Duleep Trophy final by bowling North out for 361.
The Tamil Nadu wicketkeeper-batter also made an unbeaten 52 in the second innings, while Padikkal scored 57 and 16 not out in his two innings.
