Legendary West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard is in action for Trinbago Knight Riders on Sunday, September 7. In the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025 match taking place at Providence Stadium in Guyana against the Guyana Amazon Warriors, the right-handed batter came out to bat at No. 6 in the first half and remained unbeaten on 54 runs from just 18 balls. During his stay at the crease, he hammered five fours and five sixes to help TKR post a total of 167/5 in 20 overs.
In the final over of TKR’s innings bowled by Romario Shepherd, who represents RCB in the IPL, Pollard smacked him for back-to-back sixes on the third and fourth balls and then scored a boundary on the fifth delivery to reach his half-century. On the last ball as well, he scored a four.
Pollard needed just 17 balls on Sunday to reach the 50-run mark. The 50 by Pollard on Sunday is his third half-century in the ongoing season of the CPL. In his team’s seventh league match, he scored 65 runs from just 29 balls against the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Tarouba on September 1, and on August 23 in Gros Islet, he scored 65 runs from 29 balls against the St Lucia Kings.

During his stay at the crease on Sunday, Pollard added an unbeaten 40 runs in the last two overs for the sixth wicket with Andre Russell.
Pollard has scored a total of 291 runs in eight innings of nine matches played so far in CPL 2025. He has tonked 25 sixes and 20 fours. He tops the list of batters with the most sixes in the CPL this year.
The record of hitting the most sixes in a CPL season is in the name of Evin Lewis. The star left-handed top-order batter smashed 38 maximums for the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the 2021 edition of the CPL.
