Indian cricket fans have reason to celebrate. Just days before the Asia Cup 2025, Adidas has unexpectedly rolled out massive discounts of up to 80% on the official jerseys of the Indian cricket team, making them available at the lowest-ever price.
The “FW24 India Cricket T20 International” jersey, featuring Dream11 as the title sponsor, is now listed on Adidas’ official online store for just ₹1,199, a steep drop from its original retail price of ₹5,999.
The same 80% discount applies to the Indian women’s 2025 Test jersey, which is also available at ₹1,199. For fans, this marks one of the rare occasions when official team merchandise has been made this affordable.
Sponsorship Exit Sparks Clearance
The timing of the price cut coincides with Dream11’s sudden exit as title sponsor of the Indian cricket team. The fantasy sports platform ended its contract with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in August 2025, citing compliance with India’s new online gaming law, which effectively bans fantasy sports and gambling platforms.
Dream11 had originally signed a ₹358 crore sponsorship deal in 2023, set to run until 2026. Its premature termination has forced Adidas, the team’s kit manufacturer, to begin clearing existing jersey stock featuring Dream11 branding.
Neither Dream11 nor the BCCI has issued an official statement regarding the exit.
India to Play Asia Cup Without Jersey Sponsor
The BCCI has already issued an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for new sponsorship, with bids open until mid-September. However, with the Asia Cup beginning on September 9, the Indian team will start the tournament without any commercial sponsor displayed on its jerseys.
This will not be an entirely unfamiliar sight for fans: Indian kits often appear without sponsors during ICC tournaments, due to strict uniform regulations.
India’s Asia Cup Campaign
The Indian squad, led by stars Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill, departs for the UAE on September 4. Their campaign begins with the opening group match against the UAE on September 10 in Dubai, followed by the much-anticipated showdown against Pakistan on September 14, also in Dubai. India will then face Oman in Abu Dhabi on September 19.
In Group B, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong will compete for a place in the Super Four stage. The tournament final is scheduled for September 28.
