Samsung Tri-Fold Launch This September: What Will It Offer
The Samsung tri-foldable device could be unveiled at an event on September 29, as mentioned in a report by ET News from Seoul. This means the brand could have not one but two events this month. We would like to take the new details with a pinch of salt, especially when the company has faced issued in having the product ready to go on sale.
Samsung’s tri-fold device is still a mystery at least in terms of the features and hardware but a new leak has hinted at its possible launch price. The details from South Korea suggest the Samsung tri-fold price could be around $3,000 (Rs 2.56 lakh approx) which takes it into the Apple Vision Pro territory.
Samsung will also have to factor in the cost of design and manufacturing such a unique device, and putting all that into one place, you have got a super-expensive product. And with a price tag like that, Samsung, as per reports, could limit its availability to regions like China and South Korea which is its home market.
Huawei showed us what a tri-fold device can offer, especially when you unfold them. You get a smartphone as well as a 10-inch screen like a tablet packing into one product.
The company even offers a keyboard and other accessories to really make use of its versatility. Samsung is expected to have a similar plan for its rumoured Galaxy Fold G model, and it needs the software to be tuned and optimised to run seamlessly across all the avatars of this device.
And before we see the tri-foldable, Samsung will be hosting its launch event before Apple unleashes the new iPhone 17 family and other products. The South Korean giant will announce the latest Galaxy Tab S variant as well as the Galaxy S25 FE model.
