Spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj is known for his calm nature and simple way of explaining complex truths. This has earned him a devoted following not only in India but also abroad. His ashram in Vrindavan regularly welcomes people from all walks of life, and over the years, several well-known personalities, including Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, Badshah, Shilpa Shetty, and Raj Kundra, have visited to seek his guidance and blessings.
Despite this growing popularity, meeting Maharaj in person is not easy. With thousands of devotees lining up, he only meets about 50–60 people each day. This means people often have to wait almost a year for a chance to meet him in person.
Even Raj Kundra had to wait a long time to meet the spiritual leader, but when he finally did, the experience left him deeply moved and spiritually uplifted.
Raj Kundra On His Meeting With Premanand Maharaj
Speaking to Filmygyan, Kundra said, “I have been following a spiritual guru for a very long time. In fact, for the last two years, I have been reposting Premanand Ji’s messages and I had the opportunity… He only meets 50-60 people a day and there’s like a one-year waiting list for a chance to get in. So we got a chance where Shilpa and I could go and meet him and it was the best day of my life.”
Kundra also explained how being in Maharaj’s presence left him overwhelmed. “People go with an intent that they will ask him a question, that they will ask something that can enlighten them but when I went in front of him, I was dumbfounded, I couldn’t say anything. We all think we have problems in our life. We think we don’t have money, or we want to buy some luxurious item, but Premanand Ji, for the last 20 years, he has been living with 2 kidneys failed, on a dialysis 5 hours a day, yet smiling, yet happy, what a message!”

Ashutosh Rana
Actor Ashutosh Rana also paid a visit to the spiritual guru. He was seen engaging with Maharaj on the importance of keeping the mind happy and taking care of one’s health, subjects he said were deeply relevant to his own journey.
Mika Singh
Singer Mika Singh met the guru at Radha Keli Kunj Ashram. Their interaction turned memorable when Maharaj asked him if he had ever sung the name of Radha. The singer then chanted her name, creating a moment that Mika later described as deeply special.
The Great Khali
WWE wrestler The Great Khali also visited Vrindavan and asked Maharaj profound questions about the meaning of life and its true purpose.
Hema Malini
Veteran actress and politician Hema Malini also visited Premanand Maharaj at his ashram, where she spent close to 20 minutes in conversation. She sought blessings for success and guidance on spiritual matters.
Ravi Kishan
Popular actor and Member of Parliament Ravi Kishan is also among those who have sought blessings from Maharaj.
B Praak And Jasmine Sandlas
Singer B Praak and artist Jasmine Sandlas had a unique interaction during their visit. Maharaj asked Jasmine to sing the chant of “Radha Radha,” while B Praak expressed his heartfelt wish for the guru’s continued good health.
Badshaah
Most recently, rapper Badshah travelled to Mathura to meet him. During their time at the ashram, his brother asked questions about relationships.
Premanand Maharaj’s Journey
Premanand Maharaj was born as Anirudh in Kanpur in a Brahmin family. His grandfather had already chosen the path of sanyas, his father was a devoted follower, and his elder brother had made it a daily practice to recite the Bhagwat Gita. Growing up in this atmosphere, he naturally leaned towards meditation and listening to stories of saints while most children his age were busy playing.
At just 13, he made the life-changing decision to leave his home and embrace sanyas like his grandfather. His journey eventually brought him to the divine tradition of Raas Leela, which touched him deeply. Moved by this, he settled in Vrindavan, where he began his practices at the Banke Bihari temple and slowly became the revered figure that devotees from across the world now know as Premanand Maharaj.
