England have 87 rating points to their credit in the latest ODI Team rankings released by ICC on Wednesday, September 2.

The England men’s cricket team are in eighth position in the latest ODI team rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday, September 3. The Harry Brook-led side, which suffered a humiliating defeat by 7 wickets in the first ODI of the home series played against South Africa at Headingley in Leeds, has 87 rating points.
India continue to lead the ICC ODI team rankings. The Men in Blue have 124 rating points. India have won all eight ODI matches played so far this year.
2025 Champions Trophy losing finalists New Zealand are in second position with 109 rating points, and the Kiwis are followed by 2023 ODI World Cup winners Australia (106 rating points), Sri Lanka (106 rating points) and Pakistan (100 rating points).
The Proteas also have 100 rating points to their credit, but after decimal calculation, they remain sixth in the table.
Afghanistan are ahead of England in seventh position, and the West Indies take the ninth spot, followed by Bangladesh in 10th.
The Indian men’s cricket team will next play an ODI series in October 2025 against Australia. The first ODI of the three-match series between India and Australia is scheduled to take place at Optus Stadium in Perth on October 19, and the next two matches will be played at Adelaide Oval (October 23) and Sydney Cricket Ground on October 25.
