Apple’s vintage and obsolete list continues to grow with so many older products now reaching their end of life phase.
Apple’s vintage and obsolete list has new additions this week just a week ahead of the big iPhone 17 launch in September. The company keeps adding new products to these lists, which either mark the end of support or sales in the market.

Apple stopped selling the model in 2016 which was also its last to feature a 11-inch display on a MacBook. It was popular because of its size which made it easy to carry in the bag, something that typified the ‘Air’ moniker.

This MacBook variant launched in 2017 came with a Touch Bar and had four Thunderbolt 3 ports. The company’s logic to have any product beyond 7 years of sale qualifies in this case to fit the obsolete list.

Introduced along with the 13-inch MacBook Pro, this model also got the Touch Bar with Touch ID for security. You got up to 512GB SSD storage and weighs 1.82 kg.

The iPhone model came out with the iPhone X version in 2017 and is now part of the vintage list and will soon enter the obsolete arena. The 64GB storage option was considered decent back then, and used to be the base model for the buyers.

The higher storage variant of the iPhone 8 also goes into the vintage category, since Apple did not have a 128GB option available in the market.
