Silver Price Prediction: Rising industrial demand and increasing geopolitical uncertainties have pushed silver to record highs with a return of 45 per cent in 2025 on a Year-To-Date. Silver has not only seen a phenomenal gain this year, but also outperformed gold in returns to investors. Meanwhile, gold returns stood at 33 per cent so far.

The current silver price across the country stood at Rs 1.26 lakh per kg.

Many factors, including the current environment of loose monetary policy, high geopolitical tensions, and tariff uncertainty, are fueling the silver rally, argued Dr. Renisha Chainani, Head – Research at Augmont.

Renisha Chainani, Head of Research at Augmont Silver, noted that silver’s rally has broken the $40 resistance and is likely to continue its upward trajectory. “We expect silver to reach $43 (around Rs 1.30 lakh) in the next few weeks and potentially $45 (around Rs 1.35 lakh) before the end of 2025,” she said, highlighting the strong industrial demand and supportive macro factors.

Meanwhile, Aksha Kamboj, Vice President of the India Bullion & Jewellers Association (IBJA) and Executive Chairperson of Aspect Global Ventures, pointed to broader market dynamics driving the rally. According to her, gold and silver have benefited from a combination of geopolitical tension, rupee depreciation, and hopes for Federal Reserve easing. She added that gold may face short-term resistance depending on upcoming US macroeconomic data, but silver’s momentum appears particularly strong.

Analysts are forecasting silver to hit around ₹1.60 lakh per kg by the end of 2026 and potentially ₹2 lakh per kg by 2028. Internationally, spot gold is targeting levels near $3,600 per ounce, while silver aims for about $42 per ounce. However, experts caution that a correction in the bullion rally cannot be ruled out.
