Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani struck an optimistic note on India’s future even as he acknowledged that the world is going through turbulent times. Speaking at the company’s 48th Annual General Meeting, Ambani said, “The global economy today is navigating through an era of great uncertainty. Geopolitical tensions are rising, volatility is persistent, and predictability is scarce.” Yet, he added that India remains on a firm growth trajectory and will emerge stronger in the face of challenges.

Ambani emphasised that while conflict only creates losers, cooperation can unlock prosperity for all. “When nations co-operate, trade flows freely, investments flourish and everyone wins,” he noted, calling for greater global collaboration to ensure shared progress.
Despite geopolitical uncertainty, Ambani was categorical about India’s resilience: “One truth is crystal clear. India is on the rise, and India’s rise is unstoppable.” He pointed out that India already ranks among the world’s top four economies, and under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is outpacing all major economies in growth. With the right reforms and focus on advanced technologies, he predicted India’s GDP could expand at 10 per cent annually, potentially multiplying per capita incomes four to five times in the next two decades.
The Reliance chief highlighted how technological breakthroughs are reshaping the global economy and opening new frontiers for India. He described three major shifts—clean energy, genomics, and artificial intelligence — as transformative forces. “Breakthroughs in Clean Energy are unlocking a future of abundance and sustainability… Breakthroughs in Genomics promise dramatic improvements in cure of diseases and longevity… And breakthroughs in Artificial Intelligence have already begun to boost productivity and human potential to unimaginable levels,” he said.
Ambani likened AI to the ‘Kamdhenu’, the wish-fulfilling cow, reflecting its vast potential to transform businesses and societies. At Reliance, he said, these opportunities are not seen as distant dreams but immediate areas of investment, spanning clean energy ecosystems, digital health, life sciences, and AI-led growth.
Ambani stressed that India need not copy any external model of development. Instead, he called for an “India-first model” that harmonises technology with democracy, prosperity with equality, and national aspirations with global friendship. This, he said, was “the Indian Dream” — a vision of a prosperous, compassionate, and self-reliant nation leading in the new age of abundance.
