Isha Ambani Piramal, Director of Reliance Retail Ventures, spotlighted the rapid rise of Campa Cola, announcing that the iconic homegrown brand has achieved double-digit market share across several states. “Campa Cola now holds double-digit market share across many states, breaking a 30-year MNC duopoly,” she said, speaking at the 48th Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries, calling it a proud moment in India’s consumer journey.

She also revealed that Campa Energy has quickly built a strong youth following, gaining two million social media followers in just 90 days, outpacing even long-established global rivals.

Isha Ambani positioned Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) as the next major growth engine for the organisation. RCPL will now become a direct subsidiary of RIL, consolidating all of Reliance’s consumer brands under a single entity, she announced. “This structure will enable sharper execution, faster innovation cycles, and deeper operational focus – all critical to winning in consumer markets,” she explained.

Highlighting the scale of the opportunity, she said India’s consumer market is already worth $2 trillion, expanding at more than 8 per cent annually. The country’s 350 million middle-class households represent a purchasing power of over Rs 100 lakh crore ($1.2 trillion), while rural India is driving 65 per cent of FMCG growth with penetration growing at 35 per cent annually, she said.

Reliance’s Independence brand of daily essentials has crossed revenues of Rs 1,000 crore and expanded to West Asia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and West Africa, Isha Ambani said. RCPL’s target is to enter at least 25 new countries in the next 12 months, she added. “Our ambition is to build an Indian consumer brands powerhouse with global reach. Brand India will shine bright globally when Indian consumer and tech brands conquer global markets,” she said.

Isha Ambani outlined RCPL’s four pillars of competitive strength:

  • A 1,50,000 sq. ft. R&D hub with over 100 scientists and 15 patents filed.
  • Rs 3,000 crore already invested in 12 state-of-the-art factories, with plans to invest Rs 40,000 crore in Asia’s largest integrated food parks.
  • 1.5 million outlets reached in just 18 months, the fastest in Indian FMCG history, with omni-channel presence covering 95 per cent of consumers.
  • A strong, growing team of industry talent building brands “that consumers love and trust.”

Last year, RCPL clocked revenues of Rs 11,500 crore, making it India’s fastest-growing FMCG company. Looking forward, Isha Ambani said, “Our near-term ambition is clear – to be the fastest consumer brands company to reach Rs 1 lakh crore in revenue within five years. Our long-term ambition is to become India’s largest FMCG company with a global presence.”
