Duleep Trophy 2025 Quarterfinal Day 2 Live: Hello and welcome to the live updates of the second day of the Duleep Trophy 2025 quarterfinal in Bengaluru.
Earlier on Thursday, in quarterfinal 1, senior pacer Mohammed Shami delivered an impressive performance, though not particularly incisive, while young left-arm spinner Manishi’s pivotal strikes helped East Zone restrict North Zone to 308 for six on the opening day of the Duleep Trophy quarterfinals on Thursday.
Middle-order batter Ayush Badoni showcased a stylish 63 off 60 balls on a relatively smooth pitch, but other North batters failed to capitalise on their solid starts after East chose to bowl.
Meanwhile, in the second quarterfinal clash, Vidarbha’s Ranji Trophy hero Danish Malewar and the experienced Rajat Patidar dominated the North East Zone’s weak bowling attack with impressive centuries, as Central Zone surged to 432 for 2 in 77 overs before rain interrupted play on the first day of the Duleep Trophy quarter-final on Thursday.
Malewar, 21, who scored a significant hundred in the Ranji Trophy final last season, was on a career-best 198 not out, while Patidar was more aggressive with his 125 off 96 balls. Together, they hit 56 boundaries.
