The visit also highlighted Arjun Tendulkar, who has been in the spotlight recently following his engagement to Saaniya Chandhok earlier this month. Arjun, like his father, opted for a brown kurta as he joined the family in offering prayers. The 25-year-old cricketer has been making news not only for his budding career but also for this new personal milestone. Earlier, Sachin, Anjali, and Arjun were seen visiting politician Raj Thackeray’s residence in Mumbai, where pictures from the gathering quickly went viral. That appearance marked Arjun’s first public outing since the engagement.
The news of his engagement was initially speculated in media circles, but it was Sachin Tendulkar himself who confirmed it during a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” session. Responding to a fan, the former Indian captain shared, “Yes he did and we are all very excited for the new phase in his life.” Arjun and Saaniya, 26, exchanged rings on August 13 in a private ceremony attended by close relatives and friends.
Saaniya hails from a prominent business family; she is the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai. Despite public interest, Arjun has refrained from making personal announcements on his social media accounts. His last post was on August 9, a heartfelt Raksha Bandhan message for his sister Sara. Neither family has disclosed any wedding plans so far.
