Bank Holiday Today: Banks To Remain Closed Up To 15 Days In September.

Upcoming Bank Holidays: As September 2025 approaches, banks across India will observe a mix of public holidays and holidays under the RBI holiday calendar. The Central bank has released the official schedule, which includes state-specific observances, religious festivals, and special local holidays. Additionally, all scheduled and non-scheduled banks will remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

During bank holidays, customers can continue to access services through net banking, mobile banking, UPI, and ATMs. While these digital platforms remain operational for transactions, cheque clearing and other physical banking activities governed by the Negotiable Instruments Act will not be processed on these days.

September 6 (Friday) – Indrajatra / Gangtok Holiday
